Scientists at Scotland's Roslin Institute that produced Dolly the Sheep have genetically modified "designer" hens to lay eggs containing proteins that can fight human forms of cancer and other diseases. FDA Revises Label Warnings On The Antibiotic Ketek
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has revised the label warnings on the antibiotic Ketek, to improve safe use by patients. Ketek is the brand name of Telithromycin and is manufactured by Sanofi-Aventis.The FDA has removed approval of the drug for treatment of acute bacterial infections associated with sinusitis and chronic bronchitis.


FDA Announces Label And Indication Changes For The Antibiotic Ketek
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today announced revisions to the labeling for the antibiotic Ketek (telithromycin) designed to improve the safe use of Ketek by patients. The changes include the removal of two of the three previously approved indications - acute bacterial sinusitis and acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis - from the drug's label.
