Baycol Baycol review
Pharmacy and Drugs

     .: Prescription

Baycol, often called Cerivastatin, blocks the production of cholesterol in your body. It reduces the amounts of LDL (bad cholesterol) and total cholesterol in your blood. It also reduces the triglycerides and apolipoprotein B (a protein your body needs to make cholesterol). It also increases the amount of HDL (good cholesterol).

Be sure to tell your doctor of any allergies you have whether it is to medication or food, preservatives, or dyes. Tell your doctor immediately if you are, or become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, as Baycol causes birth defects and will affect your milk. Also tell your doctor of any other medications you are taking, including vitamins and supplements, and any medical conditions you may have.

Avoid alcohol when taking this medicine. Also, avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice. It could lead to potentially dangerous effects.

It is very important that you take this medicine exactly as your doctor tells you to. If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do NOT double doses.

Get medical advice immediately if you notice any of the following: difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives; muscle aches, pain, or weakness; a fever; "flu-like" symptoms; decreased urine or rust-colored urine; blurred vision; or yellowing of your skin or eyes.

Discuss with your doctor if you have continuing or bothersome symptoms like gas, bloating, nausea, stomach upset, heartburn, abdominal pain, constipation, or diarrhea; dizziness; headache; or a rash.
